Our Teachers / Directors

CHUM Co-op Preschool is proud to offer two highly qualified teachers working

directly with you and your child in the classroom.

Ann DiJulio

Ann DiJulio

Ann DiJulio has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Purdue University. During her Purdue studies, Ann received a strong foundation in child development.  Ann was first introduced to the co-op environment while student interning at a campus co-op preschool.  After graduating, she worked in a variety of settings - private Kindergarten, private childcare centers and public preschool programs.  Ann also taught preschool classes in art and music & movement.

Ann started her CHUM career in 2004. The co-operative setting is a rewarding experience for Ann as she enjoys teaching the child while working alongside the parent.

Lauren Huberty

Lauren Huberty

Lauren Huberty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Teaching, as well as a Masters Degree in Child Development from Michigan State University.  Having first experienced the co-op preschool setting during her studies at MSU, Lauren chose to have her own children attend co-op preschool. Prior to teaching at CHUM, Lauren launched a 4-year-old at risk preschool program in Northern Michigan, was the general education preschool teacher in a pilot program in Oxford, MI that mainstreamed special education and community preschool students, and taught Head Start.

After staying home with her own children (two of which are CHUM alumni) for 8 years, Lauren began teaching at CHUM in 2004. The ability to work closely with the parent and child is something Lauren values both professionally and personally.

Through their experience, dedication, and innovative teaching ideas, Ann and Lauren create an exceptional preschool environment.
